I ran TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters on the same 4K Max with the same three Xtream fields because the first APK annoyed me and the second one was the empty player I already had on the stick. Affiliate pages rank the apps as if they were live TV. They are not. They are two shells. The channels sit in a username we send.
The Firestick IPTV pillar is the Fire OS vs Vega aisle note. TiviMate Firestick is the sideload for Armobsoft's player. IPTV Smarters Pro Firestick is the sideload for the other vendor's player. This page is the fork: which empty player I leave on the remote after both have accepted the same login.
What does TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters actually decide?
The guide, the RAM bill, and how the Firestick remote feels. Not Sky. Not a year of matches. Google Play's TiviMate listing still says the app is a media player only and does not provide any content. You add your own playlists. A premium upgrade unlocks application features only. It does not include, or provide access to, any channels.
Smarters is the same class of software. The clone listing Tech Smarters still ships on Play under com.smarterspro.smartersprotv with the line "Smarters Pro is strictly a standalone media player." That clone is not NST / WHMCS Smarters. I mention it so you do not treat a Play search as the original app. Original packages I hit this morning still 404: com.nst.iptvsmarterstvbox, com.nst.iptvsmarterspro, com.whmsolutions.iptvsmarters.
| What you compare | TiviMate (Armobsoft FZE) | IPTV Smarters Pro (their vendor, not us) |
|---|---|---|
| Channels inside the APK | None. Play copy: media player only. | None. Xtream paste fills Live. |
| What the store charges | TiviMate Premium is $33.99 lifetime on Google Play (listing range $0.99-$33.99 per item next to Armobsoft FZE). | No live Play price. Original NST and WHMCS packages 404 today. I will not invent one. |
| EPG / guide | Best in class on the June 2026 GitHub hardware note. Fast, dense, customisable rows. | OK. Fine for a first night. Soft once the list is huge. |
| RAM on a stick | u/Prowler1999 on r/TiviMate: 28.60 MB app plus 676 MB data with four playlists. u/nwoidaho: the EPG cache is the bloat, not the binary. | Lighter on the same hardware. The trade is the guide. |
| 4K Max live TV | Holds on my 4K Max once the playlist is trimmed. | u/Fatima2021 on r/firetvstick: IP Smarters kicked live TV after a few minutes on a new 4K Max 2nd gen. Another player held. |
| Where the file comes from | Sideload from tivimate.com. Not in the Amazon Appstore. | Sideload on Fire OS via Downloader. Their vendor, not us. CatchON path on the setup guide if Amazon already flagged a random APK. |
The 1-screen card on the pricing page is $25 a month, $90 for twelve. That receipt is the Xtream triple. It is not TiviMate Premium's $33.99 on Google Play, and it is not the HDMI stick from a shop.
Which player should I open first on a Firestick?
Smarters, if you have never pasted Xtream on this stick. The login wall is three boxes. Any name, server URL, username, password. That is why the setup guide walks it. TiviMate, if the guide is the job and the stick has RAM to spare.
The June 2026 GitHub set-top note scored TiviMate UI snappiness Excellent and EPG handling Best in class, buffer recovery Good. IPTV Smarters Pro landed Good, OK, OK. I trust that ranking for the living-room remote. I do not trust it as a channel score. Both players sat on the same line when I ran them.
u/Revolutionary_Bat960 on that same r/TiviMate thread: TiviMate needs the most RAM because of the features. On a Lite that sentence matters. On a Fire TV Stick 4K Max, $59.99 list at Amazon, paid once, I still leave TiviMate as the daily remote. I do not leave four full-world playlists loaded. Trim groups so the EPG is the regions you actually flip.
u/mdcbennett wanted TiviMate to be manageable from a phone the way IMPlayer is. It is not. Favourites, EPG days, and parental PIN all happen on the TV with the Firestick remote. If you are the person who maintains three sticks in the house, that remote-only tax is the real TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters fork, not a feature grid.
Smarters stays useful as the spare. When a new Smarters build bounces to home and never adds the playlist, while the same credentials still work on a phone, that is a player file, not a dead username. The older 4.0.4 APK was the forum fix. I would rather switch the player than keep reinstalling the same broken build. The clicks live on the Smarters install page. I will not rerun them here.
What does TiviMate Premium actually unlock?
Skins, extra playlists, recording, and the rest of Armobsoft's feature gate. I pulled TiviMate IPTV Player on Google Play this morning, 5 October 2026. Package ar.tvplayer.tv. Developer Armobsoft FZE. The in-app range next to that developer name is $0.99-$33.99 per item. Neighbouring Play cards on the same HTML print $104.99 and $299.99. Those are not TiviMate. Do not pay them.
TiviMate Premium's $33.99 on Google Play is a one-time Armobsoft charge, not a monthly live-TV bill. Fire OS cannot use that Play listing as an install button. The APK you sideload is the same app. The store page is how I check the disclaimer and the price. tivimate.com still frames the product as a player you add playlists to. Catch-up, recording, multiview, parental controls sit in that marketing sentence. Channels do not.
u/Drixxter on r/TiviMate had groups that failed on the internal player and needed an external one. That is a codec quirk, not a reason to shop a second username. If a channel is black in TiviMate and plays in Smarters on the same stick at the same hour, swap the player setting, not the seller.
Why did IPTV Smarters Pro vanish from Google Play?
The original NST and WHMCS packages are gone. I will not print a Smarters store price that does not exist. Play search for the name is a clone mine. Corey Quinn, Lucky Virani, MUSIC REHAB LTD, Tech Smarters. One live clone, Tech Smarters, is a standalone player from a different vendor. Its neighbour IAP strings ($5.99 per item, $49.99 per item, $11.99-$269.00 per item) sit on other cards. They are not IPTV Smarters Pro.
Official-looking hostnames have been a mess for weeks. iptvsmarters.com failed to connect the last time I pulled it. nstplayer.com failed. whmcssmarters.com threw Cloudflare. smarterspro.com is Tech Smarters, not NST. Treat a random "Smarters Pro" search as untrusted. Sideload from a file you trust, or switch to TiviMate from tivimate.com, on Fire OS.
Vega OS will not take either player the old way. A Fire TV Stick 4K Select at $39.99 list, or the second-generation Fire TV Stick HD at $34.99 list, is a Netflix box. Harding at Ars, 17 April 2026, still has the sideload lock I point at after a Select unboxing. We do not ship sticks. Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart do. If the plastic in the HDMI port already sideloads, keep it. TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters is then a file choice, not a shop trip.
Will swapping the player fix a frozen match?
Almost never. Hitching after kickoff is the stick, the radio, the list, or the CDN. That diagnosis lives in Firestick buffering. A black Live tab that never starts is a paste, a Vega SKU, an Amazon disable, or a dead build. That ranking lives in IPTV not working on Firestick. TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters does not repair either class. It picks the remote you like once Live actually fills.
I still open a licensed app on the same HDMI when someone swears "IPTV is dead." The YouTube TV FAQ I loaded today writes "YouTube TV is $82.99/mo for 1 membership with up to 6 household accounts." New users pay $59.99/mo on YouTube TV for two months of the main plan, then $82.99/mo on YouTube TV. I do not park that two-month intro next to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max list from PCWorld. They are different products. Hulu's live-TV chart this morning still names Hulu + Live TV, Disney+, and ESPN Select at $99.99/month on Hulu, with a one-month $49.99/mo on Hulu teaser. I keep that teaser away from the Fire TV Stick 4K $49.99 list.
Those licensed apps prove the HDMI path. They are not the line we sell. Our monthly 1-screen plan is $25. The year is $90. An Armobsoft upgrade sits on a third receipt. Stacking all three in one cart is how people think TiviMate Premium bought sports.
How do I test both players on one login?
One username. Two APKs. The stick you actually sit in front of on Saturday. Skip a kitchen spare. Skip a midday phone demo.
- Start the two-day trial. No card. The activation is a username, a password, and a server URL. The default walk on the setup guide pastes those into Smarters, which you still fetch from its own vendor.
- Confirm Live fills in Smarters, then open the programme you sat down for. A pretty home with a black Live tab is still a bad paste. You are not comparing players yet.
- Sideload TiviMate from tivimate.com on the same Fire OS stick. Paste the same three fields. Trim the groups. Leave the same fixture running.
- Keep the player that holds the picture and the guide you will actually poke at 3pm. Uninstall the other one so the stick has RAM back. TiviMate's EPG cache is the thing u/nwoidaho warned about.
Picture starts and holds? Order the same plan. Live stays empty during the two days? You were never billed. When the window closes, the feed stops. The form never stored a card. I would not pay TiviMate Premium's $33.99 on Google Play until the login already filled Live. I would not pay a year of our line on a Vega Select that cannot sideload either player.
I paid a shop for the 4K Max. I keep the login on an email I control. TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters, for me, is Smarters for the first paste and TiviMate for the daily remote once the EPG is trimmed. Yours has to survive your house. That is why the trial exists.
Common questions
Does TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters pick my channels?
No. Both players are empty until you paste a username, a password, and a server URL. The channels come from the line. TiviMate Premium's $33.99 on Google Play still includes none. Original Smarters Play packages 404, so there is no store "Pro" that secretly ships TV.
Should I start with TiviMate or IPTV Smarters on a Firestick?
Smarters if you have never pasted Xtream. TiviMate if the guide is the job and the stick is a 4K Max, not a Lite. On a new 4K Max 2nd gen, watch Smarters on live TV for more than a few minutes before you call it the daily app. Fatima's kick-out is still the report I keep.
Is TiviMate Premium a monthly live-TV bill?
No. TiviMate Premium is $33.99 lifetime on Google Play for Armobsoft features. Our 1-screen monthly line is $25. The year is $90. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is $59.99 list at Amazon, paid once. Three sellers. Three receipts.
How do I test TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters before I pay?
Start the two-day trial with no card. Use the HDMI stick you sit in front of at kickoff, not a spare. Fill Live in Smarters, then in TiviMate, with the same login. Keep the remote you like. If Live stays empty on both, walk away. The form never stored a card.
If a Fire OS stick already sits behind your TV, you are about twenty minutes from a two-player test on one login. Take the trial, paste once, install the second APK, and sit through the hour you actually care about. The hard part was never another icon. Treating TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters as a channel shop was the mix-up.
